Adventure Elopements & More
I'm a licensed wedding officiant who specializes in adventure elopements. Whether your dream is to be married a little off the beaten path, deep in the redwoods of Big Sur or on a sun-soaked Monterey beach, I'll make the trek with you to your perfect spot. From being barefoot in the sand to strapping on our hiking boots, no location is too far! I also welcome the opportunity to travel outside of the Monterey area to curate the ceremony that is right for you. Further services I'm available for include: officiating weddings large and small, vow renewals, civil ceremonies and rehearsals.
My Process
Getting to know my couples is a key component to designing the perfect ceremony. Let's get to know each other on Zoom, Skype, in person over a cup of coffee or just through an old fashioned phone call! We'll be sure to explore the nuances of your partnership, and I'll ask important questions about your relationship and your love story. You'll have a variety of ways to contact me so that we can follow-up if needed, especially if you think of any special details we missed during our initial meeting. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, even for last minute changes. This is a momentous occasion, so let’s not leave anything out!

Whatever your love story looks like, celebrating diversity is the foundation of what I do. No matter your religion, faith or belief set, I will tailor a unique ceremony for you! I consider myself spiritual without denomination, although growing up in a Christian faith-based home allowed me to become very familiar with The King James Bible. Additionally, throughout my adulthood I have had the privilege of traveling all around the world and witnessing faith-systems of all kinds. I have a deep respect for the global variety of beliefs that exist in this world and have created liturgies of all kinds. Whether your perfect day should incorporate your pets and their importance in your life, cleansing rituals, handfasting ceremonies, or weaving Egyptian mythology into the ceremony, I appreciate you inviting me into the reverence of that moment, no matter what that looks like.

You’re committing to a lasting and meaningful union and deserve a day that is full of joy and free of stress. Allow me to take some of the little hassles off your plate so you can focus on each other. Being a Big Sur officiant has its perks: from top-notch photographer and florist recommendations to the best place to grab some post-elopement fish tacos, I have plenty of information and local resources to share with you; all you have to do is ask!
About Your Officiant
Having been blessed from a young age with the gift of gab, I've channeled my love of language into an English degree and 10 years of professional writing work. I've loved weddings since I got my hands on some free wedding cake as a child and I have a deep appreciation for the reverence of the day. What began years ago as a favor to a friend has become a personal passion; seeing my couples smile, laugh and cry happy tears as I perform their ceremony is a moving experience that I love being a part of.
